Aaron T. Kinzel
I am a Lecturer of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I am a criminal justice reform advocate, and a formerly incarcerated individual who was raised by family members that were actively involved in criminality. I spent several months in juvenile detention facilities and nearly ten years straight in adult prisons. My redemption was earned upon my release by leaving a life of crime as a young teenager behind in my dark past. I chose to pursue a brighter future in higher education and community engagement to create safe neighborhoods and assist the formerly incarcerated to become productive and law-abiding citizens.
I am available to hire for consulting and public speaking with expertise in the following: (Criminal Justice Policy, Corrections, Prisoner Reentry, Curriculum Development, and Higher Education). Please contact me through email firstname.lastname@example.org or (616) 304-1460 to discuss the needs of your organization and my fees for service.
I have a strong background in understanding cultural diversity and have worked with thousands of juvenile delinquents and adult prisoners in numerous correctional institutions. I have also worked with a broad range of public, private and non-profit organizations with references available upon request and some examples below:
